Admission Notice – 2009-10
Career in Hotel and Catering
Applications are invited for admission along with attested copies of certificates for the following Trade Diploma of one and a half year duration. The last date for submission of application is 30.06.2009
1. Food Production – 70 seats
2. Bakery & Confectionery – 30 seats
3. Front Office Operations – 35 seats
4. Food & Beverage Service – 70 seats
5. House Keeping Operations – 35 seats
The admission will be on the basis of merit of 10+2 examination marks. The merit list will be displayed on the basis of 10+2 marks on the Institute Notice Board on 03.07.2009 and also be available on the website www.cihmct.com. The counseling of the candidates for allotment of seats on basis of merit list will be held as under
▪ 08.07.2009 – All candidates of SC/ST/PH
▪ 09.07.2009 – 1 to 150 rank (General Category)
▪ 10.07.2009 – 151 rank onwards (General Category)
In case of selection, fee will have to be deposited at once, failing which seats will be given to the candidates next on the merit list. The second counseling to fill up the vacant seats, if any, will be held on 17.07.2009
▪ The minimum qualification for admission is 10+2 with English (pass)
▪ Age limit up to 22 years for general category and 25 years for SC/ST category as on 01.08.2009
▪ 15% seats are reserved for SC and 7.5% for ST and 3% for PH
▪ Limited Seats are available in the hostel for outstation boys & girls
▪ Incomplete and late applications will not be considered
▪ Merit-cum-means scholarships are available. Details available in the office
▪ Session will commence from 20.07.2009
▪ Prospectus containing application form and other details are available on payment of Rs. 250/- at the Institute counter and through book post by sending M.O./Bank Draft of Rs. 300/- in the name of Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management payable at Chandigarh stating full address in capital letters on the counterfoil/back.
Candidate must attach a Demand Draft of Rs. 250/- along with the downloaded form from the website, failing which their candidature will not be considered.
