Applications are invited for one year Marine Engineering Pre-Sea Training course at GRSE (ISO 9001-200 and CARE accredited unit with state-of-the-art simulator facility) for session March 2010 under M.O.T. class IV, Part ‘A’ scheme.
Graduates in B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical) from AICTE approved engineering colleges with 50% (minimum) marks in engineering graduation, 50% (minimum) marks in English at 10th/12th or in Diploma (for the parallel entries in Degree course) Degree course conducted by board of university.
Age not exceeding 28 years as on 01.03.2010 (born after 01.03.1982, age relaxation for SC & ST candidates as per prevailing govt. rule) are eligible to take admission for the training

4 STCW Basic modular courses (FPFF, EFA, PSSR and PST) will be arranged by GRSE at IIPM, Kolkata
Application with full bio-data duly signed indicating name of the college and university, division/grade and percentage of marks obtained in engineering degree indicating details calculation (marks obtained/full marks) including attested copies of age proof from school/board, mark sheet of 10th, 12th std or diploma (for the parallel entries in degree course), all semester of degree course, final/provisional certificate from university, Bonafide certificate from college, latest AICTE approval with date for the course of the college. The attested copy of documents/testimonials as mentioned above of the candidate should reach on or before 10th December, 2009 to C.G.M. (TTC) along with a demand draft of Rs. 1000/- as application fee from any bank in favour of ‘Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd.’ payable at Kolkata.
Police verification certificate for the candidate from permanent address area indicating that no criminal or any other case/s is/are pending against the candidate and medical fitness certificate will be required at the time of joining on selection. Incomplete application in any form will be rejected. Admission will be made as per D.G. Shipping guideline and 50 candidates will be admitted.
In case of availability of seats, as first come first serve basis, the candidates may be admitted up to 15th February, 2010, subject to fulfillment of all the criteria for admission.
Training fees Rs 1,00,000/- inclusive of all taxes and duties (non residential and non refundable) for one year course to be paid through demand draft in favour of ‘Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd.’ on any bank payable at Kolkata on selection of the candidate, at the time of joining. Fees for Basic modular course, obtaining CDC, INDOS no & Cost of TAR Book and training manual, official dress, boiler suit, safety shoes and safety helmet to be borne by candidate separately. All the fees as mentioned above are received through demand draft and no cash is accepted. Training certificate on successful completion of training will be awarded to the each candidate. The successful completion of this course does not guarantee on board training, which is mandatory for employment.
