Admission notice – January 2010 session
The School of Agriculture (SOA) aims to improve and sustain agricultural productivity and quality of human life in rural areas through open and distance learning (ODL) in agriculture and allied sectors. The applications are invited for admission to the following programme
1. PG Diploma in Food Safety and Quality Management (PGDFSQM)*
Eligibility: Graduation in food science/agricultural/dairy/veterinary/fisheries/home science/hotel management/science with chemistry/bio-chemistry or microbiology as one of the subjects/equivalent
2. PG Diploma in Plantation Management (PGDPM)
Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline
3. PG Certificate in Agriculture Policy (PGCAP)*
Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline
4. Diploma in Value Added Products from Fruits and Vegetables (DVAPFV)
Eligibility: 10+2 bachelor preparatory programme (BPP) from IGNOU. 10th pass may enroll simultaneously for both BPP and the diploma programme
5. Diploma in Dairy Technology (DDT)
Eligibility: 10+2 bachelor preparatory programme (BPP) from IGNOU. 10th pass may enroll simultaneously for both BPP and the diploma programme
6. Diploma in Meat Technology (DMT)
Eligibility: 10+2 bachelor preparatory programme (BPP) from IGNOU. 10th pass may enroll simultaneously for both BPP and the diploma programme
7. Diploma in Production of Value Added Products from Cereals, Pulses and Oilseeds (DPVCPO)
Eligibility: 10+2 bachelor preparatory programme (BPP) from IGNOU. 10th pass may enroll simultaneously for both BPP and the diploma programme
8. Diploma in Fish Products Technology (DFPT)
Eligibility: 10+2 bachelor preparatory programme (BPP) from IGNOU. 10th pass may enroll simultaneously for both BPP and the diploma programme
9. Diploma in Watershed Management (DWM)
Eligibility: 10+2 bachelor preparatory programme (BPP) from IGNOU. 10th pass may enroll simultaneously for both BPP and the diploma programme
10. Certificate in Organic Farming (COF)
Eligibility: 10+2/BPP from IGNOU
11. Certificate in Sericulture (CIS)
Eligibility: 10th pass/non 10th pass having two year of experience in sericulture
12. Certificate in Water Harvesting and Management (CWHM)
Eligibility: 10th pass
13. Certificate in Beekeeping (CIB)
Eligibility: 8th pass
14. Certificate in Poultry Farming (CPF)
Eligibility: 8th pass

Fee concession: 50% fee concession is available for diploma and certificate programmes of the school of agriculture to the following categories of students (a) candidates from the rural areas subject to production of domicile certificate and (b) candidates from urban area subject to production of below poverty line certificate. This fee concession is not applicable for PG Programmes
How to apply: The Common prospectus shall be applicable to the above programmes. The same can be obtained from the Registrar, SRD, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068 and also from all the regional centres of IGNOU by sending Rs. 150/- through a demand draft drawn in favour of ‘IGNOU’ payable at New Delhi/the city of concerned regional centre/or paying Rs. 100/- in cash at the respective sale counters. Admission form can be downloaded from the IGNOU website and submitted along with DD for Rs. 100/- in addition to the programme fee.
Last date for submission of admission form without late fee at the concerned regional centre is 31st October, 2009.
