Admission Notification – 2009-2011

Applications are invited for admission to the following 3 year Diploma Courses.

1. Diploma in Film Technology and TV Production (Cinematography)

2. Diploma in Film Technology and TV Production (Film Processing)

3. Diploma in Film Technology and TV Production (Sound Recording and Sound Engineering)

4. Diploma in Direction and Screenplay writing and TV Production

5. Diploma in Film Editing and TV Production

(Separate application should be submitted for each course)

For direction and screen play writing, minimum qualification is any degree from a recognized university and for all other courses minimum qualification is higher secondary/diploma in electrical and electronics engineering/diploma in electronics and communication engineering. For other details please refer to prospectus available with the application form.

Application forms with prospectus can be obtained from the Director, Information and Public Relations Department, M.G.R. Govt Film and Television Institute, Chennai-600113 by sending a DD from any nationalized bank for Rs 100/- (for SC/ST Rs. 30/- on production of copy of Community Certificate) drawn in favour of Director, Information and Public Relations Department, M.G.R. Govt. Film and Television Institute, Chennai-600113 payable at Chennai along with self addressed envelope (20 cm x 12 cm) affixed with postage stamp for Rs. 10/-

Application forms and prospectus can also be downloaded from www.tn.gov.in website and submitted along with DD for Rs. 100/- (for SC/ST Rs. 30/- on production of copy of community certificate) DD obtained earlier than 14.05.2009 will not be accepted.

Last date for the Sale of application and submission of filled up application form is 5.00 p.m. on 01.06.2009
